Petit Oppy - Any Girls interested?
Postby Parker » Tue Oct 23, 2012 1:34 pm
I'm wondering if any girls would be interested in forming a team to complete the Petit Oppy as listed on the Audax calender for Saturday Mar 16th 2013.
It's set for a minimum of 180km in 24 hours, the spirit of Audax is that you ride as far as you can and the idea not that you stop at 180 but see if you can go beyond.
We would be as strong as our slowest rider - a real empahsis on team and helping each other along.
Cheers
Rowena

I also am aware that there are a lot of WA women on these forums and perhaps this thread might encourage other women to participate in Audax events.Baalzamon wrote:There was a full womens team on the last oppy. They don't come on BNA tho best bet is to turn up to an Audax event and find them

I am thinking it may be possible to form two teams - a sort of beginers team to do the 180km (petit) and a more advanced team to do the 360km (Opperman All day Trial)
So that being said, if you're a women in WA and think you can't make it to 180km, ride a road bike and are dreaming that you can... then you should email me and we'll get you to 180km.

It's going to be a flat route most likely. Maybe some little bumps tho.jennyd wrote:I would be interested in the 180km, depending on how hilly it is.

Just bringing this thread back from the dead as it is time (actually a few days past) to register your team and ride plans with the organiser. If you haven't done this already then please contact Tony Gillespie ASAP, details available via the online ride calander on the Audax website: http://audax.org.au/public/index.php?op ... r&Itemid=2
See you on Sunday the 17th (if I survive it )
