Re: ACF Strava ClubIt seems strava on my iPhone has permanently died due to not being able to find a gps single... Even though the gpa seems to be working ok with google maps... Any ideas?.
Re: ACF Strava ClubYes deleted it and started again... No good.
Just tried a reset factory settings and now have a gps signal on strava... Will see how it goes tomorrow.
Re: ACF Strava ClubI had the same problem with Strava a while back. Google Maps worked fine but the GPS in Strava had me jumping from one side of the river to the other. I just rebooted my iphone and it sorted the glitch out for the next ride.
Re: ACF Strava ClubMy brother was having issues with no gps signal on his iphone when using strava (to his VERY great anger, guess who copped the brunt of it

Re: ACF Strava ClubHi All,
just noticed that there are some new segments on my rides starting with "SRM:"as the start of title .These new segments are alongside exsisting segments, anyone know what they are? ![]()
Re: ACF Strava Club
Powermeter?
Re: ACF Strava ClubWell, it appears I'm a new 'club member'.
Re: ACF Strava ClubDoes anyone's lap times show up differently on Strava?
On Strava, the start and end of the lap is about 1km before where it should be. All good on Garmin Connect though.
Re: ACF Strava ClubFinally joined Strava last week. I busted my iPhone mount on the commuter so switched to the garmin on commutes and stopped using cyclemeter. It's already totally changed the way I ride
Re: ACF Strava ClubWhat kind of battery life does everyone get with their phone?
I only get 2.5 hrs so use my garmin for longer rides.
Re: ACF Strava ClubI use a Mophie Juice pack. I used my iPhone strava app on the Fitz Extreme. After 13hrs I still had 30% battery left.

Re: ACF Strava ClubI rode for about 4 and a half hours yesterday with music going the whole time using an iphone4 and had 40% left when i got home.
Re: ACF Strava Club
I'm yet to find anyone who uses strava a lot that actually lasts using their phone. Once you can climb hills on a bike it's all downhill.
Hopefully I'll know what that's like..... one day. ![]()
Re: ACF Strava Club
See the two posts just previous to yours then?
Re: ACF Strava ClubThe phone and strava app are just to handy not to use. You take the phone with you where ever you go and it uploads straight from the phone when done. I use a cateye micro wireless on the bike just to see how in going as I ride and throw the phone into my jersey pocket.

Re: ACF Strava Club
No I didn't but that's cool! I do like my garmin though. Once you can climb hills on a bike it's all downhill.
Hopefully I'll know what that's like..... one day. ![]()
Re: ACF Strava ClubI like my iPhone... yet... I am considering a Garmin! lol..
Re: ACF Strava Club
I like my Garmin & my iPhone, but when they start slapping each other about..................? You really have to wonder why electrical appliances just can't get along. Gas propulsion.......it's natural don't fight it.
Re: ACF Strava ClubDoes software or website exist that displays what gear you are in on a map? By that I mean something like instead of a single colour line indicating the route you took, there would be a line that changed colour to indicate the gear you were in. It would be a nice training tool to see how and when you select gears for hills, sprinting and cooling off. Especially useful on a map indicating the topography.
You can look at your or others cadence, but it would be interesting to show the gear selection to obtain that cadence This should be possible, with cadence and speed measurements, but I guess you would have to enter your gear ratios. Would be great if it could be clearly displayed. ![]()
Re: ACF Strava Club
you'd have to get an ant+ shimano flightdeck. don't know if they exist. there's also a university that's done a prototype of an integration into Di2 that changes gears based on cadence.
Re: ACF Strava Club
I meant for post-ride analysis, as you can do with GPS data on Garmin or strava etc. I should have said what gear you *were* in (in a ride you have completed). I didn't explain that well I might draw up a mock up of what I have in mind. Were you referring to real-time display of current gear selection? ![]()
