And despite the looks, there was actually no storm this afternoon in my area.

What ever happened to "riding in bad weather automatically means you're a hardman". I was an epic hardman this morning. Did the loop solo for the Trek Rouse Hill slow ride around the base and back, and pulled an equivalent time including a lot more time above 45kmh than I was ever expecting... time for some better shoes, the stiffness from the wet shoes really helped pick up the pace despite being on the slow bike and in the wet. #5g-boaf wrote:Not so great weather this morning, grey and rainy.

Yep! I like going out in wet weather (as long as it isn't thundering), all the pedestrian "meanderthals" are hiding away in their warm houses.Xplora wrote:What ever happened to "riding in bad weather automatically means you're a hardman". Will be swapping out the front wheel tonight as I have found slight cracks around the spoke holes - disappoining but I can't realy complain as the rim is 21 years old like the bike. I will be checking the rear as well.

A bit of drizzle kept the numbers down this morning, but it was still a pleasant ride in

You are so right - the bike is a Repco superlite purchased from Blackmanns cycles (in Blacktown)21 years ago and it came with 15 years warranty on components and a lifetime on the frame and forks - still have the documents. It is only just out of warranty with the component (less that 50% of the overall) do you think I should call them to see what they can dofind_bruce wrote:should have got the extended warranty
They have been my LBS for over 30 years.

Where?
I've done 175km, 5 Gorges.
Again, we'll done.
