Which one and why?

Go to races organised by both. Talk to some of the people there. Find the club where you get the best vibe. Join that club.

throwing another one into the mix: SUVelo, they meet at centennial park. i have been on a few rides with them and was very impressed by their organisation and the number and variety of training rides on offer.

Yes, had a look at SU Velo, definitely have to consider them now, especially as they would have more people my age (I'd assume)
