Tire pressure is lower for wider tyres, so there is less impact force when you hit something sharp. Also you are less likely to get pinch flats on wider tires from blunt objects as you have a larger surface area.Nitram wrote:Any theories as to why wider tyres means less flats ?
I'd be interested to know the longevity of these tires. I weight 95kg and use panniers when commuting. So far I've done over 4000km and I reckon there's a good few thousand left in the rear tyre.
