WTB - SYD - 26.6 seatpost, preferably fluted

Postby cmc75 » Thu Nov 15, 2012 10:13 pm

Hi,

I'm after a 26.6mm seatpost, preferably of the fluted type. It's for a mate's cruising bike, so price is more of a consideration than appearance. I'm in Sydney, happy to pay postage. Longer the better also (which doesn't seem to go hand in hand with fluted?)

Thanks,
cmc75

I have a 26.6 black ano at about 270mm - used to be 400mm o_O - yours for $10 plus post?
I ride 25s on the basis that they divide more easily into 100 than 23s.

Thanks Dan, but I had a brainwave while trying to get to sleep last night. I've got an old 26.8 seatpost all scratched up, a lathe, and a mill. Why not turn the old one down to size, then try and put in my own flutes (not too deep of course). I'll see how this goes, maybe when I end up with a useless bit of aluminium that was once a seatpost, I'll get back to you...

Cheers,

At least you could melt it down and make some Coke cans.... ;)
