Me too, I kept looking at weather zone hoping to see the arrow pointing toward the SE, but it stubbornly decided to stay pointing east....bugger!

maybe head west first? then at least you'd deserve the segments...
OH yeh what a goose, I meant easterly direction. Anyhoo I'm back in one piece after playing dodge the sticks. Had an unfortunate interruption to my segment attempt, but giving way to loose kids & dumb pedestrians comes before leader board glory in the interests of safety. Almost came to a complete stop just to make sure all the little devils were safe & out of harms way. Interesting ride all the same pushing out 250+w at 22km/hr on the flat, then leaning over at about a 10 degree angle (off centre) around the next corner to keep it in a straight line. BBwwwaaaahh I just had a look at the Strava file & took out 3 kom's. If it wasn't for those (law abiding pedestrians on the shared path) I could have claimed a couple more. (I'm not condoning speeding on a shared path BTW.)
good work! One of those was mine so I got an email. I had a little nibble back on the way home but the wind had halved kn strength, it was dark, and I was on the 29er. In summary, you'll keep.

I cannot believe how perfect the weather was this morning, even if i did have to wear a beanie under my helmet. Much as i like the view from Shornecliffe or Clontarf, the weather in Italy was also pretty good a few weeks ago.

The wind was gusting along at a nice pace as was I . If it wasn't for the other path users I could have destroyed that time, but in the interests of safety enough was enough. Wind assisted................Yes, but I was a triantelope with a TT background. Now race road & MTB in the 40+ age group so this Strava thingo is quite amusing.

Looks like it could be a wet one on the Rainbow ride tomorrow. Better put the wet weather tyres on and wear a thermal top. Forget about the second waterbottle !

Went out this morning, being optimistic, managed only 30 km in the gail force winds and rain. Got so cranky i head butted a Magpie that swooped me. I was in no mood. Hopefully next weekend will be better.

What is it with these nightly northerly winds? Last night I had a 44 kph gusting to 52 kph and that really slows you down big time.
It would not be at all strange if history came to the conclusion that the perfection of the bicycle was the greatest achievement of the nineteenth century.

7km from home completely drenched at Everton park. The lightning scared the living daylight out of me. Now blue skies!

Got out early this morning, only got rained on for the last 15 mins of my ride.
Hope tomorrow stays dry for all those participating, the Canungra descent will be much more enjoyable/safer.

I spoke to one of the organizers this morning. If its showers it's go but if its a full on storm they will cancel.
Thing is you'll have to front up anyway.
