If you or some mates have a spare day off for riding I'd highly recommend the Mt Nebo-Mt Glorious climb with lunch at the Maiala Rainforest Teahouse and Restaurant on top of Mt Glorious which is just one hell of a beautiful place. Great music - none of that dubstep justin bieber radio music - real good old fashion music. Friendly service. Fellow cyclists and motorbike riders are usually there having a break. Good food and they have old fashion milkshakes. Just a great place to stop for a mid ride break Then continue on for the decent towards Wivenhoe-Summerset Road stopping at Kipper Creek to escape the midday heat for a little while; maybe even have a quick swim; then continue on towards Fernvale and then on to Ipswich (via Pine Mountain for less traffic/safer route/better scenery) to catch the train back to Brisbane or continue riding back to Brisbane via Springfield/bikeway to the City. The only issue for safety besides the crazy steep decent from Mt Glorious would be the small section of 1.5-2km of road along the Brisbane Valley Highway riding into Fernvale from the north where trucks have created drop offs/bumps... hills in the breakdown lane.

Lovely cool, moody vignetted lighting, nicely colour matched bike. Great images.

+1 Norbs I really liked composition of the second image. The stand is a bit obvious for my taste, but we can blame Dave for thatopen roader wrote:Lovely cool, moody vignetted lighting, nicely colour matched bike. Great images.
