I reckon the Treks are a stiffer frame than some brands (would you agree) which is what I think I need as I'm v tall with a large frame (bike frame).
LTR, I have the wide B17 on my flat bar. On the 1.9 I have a narrow Brooks swift, and on the Madone a Brooks Pro. The Pro wins hands down as the most comfortable saddle I own.The swift is good but it took a while to break in,and the B17 is wonderful as well. The Madone frame is very stiff, but with an endurance geometry. H2 i think. I take a size 58. The bottom bracket is huge Here is a link to my bikes.Tim http://www.theaussiecyclist.com/p/my-bikes.html

LTR, you've stolen a little lead on me while I've been busy running and swimming After this weekend I'm back to concentrating on the cycling again. Just be careful of the jet-wash as I regain the lead.........

A huge well done to those passing milestones! I passed 9,000 Kim's yesterday... A little slower than I hoped for but still on track for 12,000 for the year. My 29er is now converted to a drop bar rigid gravel grinder. I rode it to work a few times this week with CX tyres on it but last Sunday took it out on the Lilydale-Warburton trail with the MTB tyres on and had a blast! Tomorrow I am missing Around The Bay for the first time in years to do the Melbourne Gravel Grinders ride. Re names - my wife has renamed the Lynskey "the Ponderosa" because the MTB drop bars make it look like a steer! The Baum can't be called anything other than The Baum!!! Andrew

Finally reached 10,000km this week! Last year I managed 10,031km for the full year, so I am well and truly on target for 12,500km by the end of this year!

Yes, congrats to all the achievers, sadly I am struggling to keep up with the little arrow and will probably not quite make it.

FINALLY! Cracked the 10,000 mark today! It was fitting that I was riding with a friend who I started riding with 25 years ago. Haven't seen Jason in over 18 months so it was good to pass the landmark with him. For the months of November and December my goal is 50 km a day which will mean I finish with over 12,500 for the year.... Here's hoping, Andrew

Been a couple of weeks since I logged my rides will load em up today. Spent a few days in Sydney last week. Jasus Sydney CBD looks bleedin crazy wouldn't fancy riding in there. Everyone seemed determined to be ahead of everyone and cut each other off, suppose its what your used to though. How's everyone else going....? Stewart, you still closing on me, didn't you do a triathlon recently, how'd you go mate...? Took Mrs LTR out on the shared bike path into the city yesterday, loved going out on the bike with her but hate the bike paths. The amount of peds wondering like headless chickens, dogs off leads and cyclists treating the shared path like a speed way. Mrs LTR held her own very nicely, good to see her confidence up

Well done Andrew! I snuck in just ahead of you last week for 10K. I'm also hoping for 12,500kms.
Major objective from now on though is to see if I can make 200,000meters of climbing. Just made 165,000 so it will be possible but challenging. I haven't been doing many hills lately so i'm looking forward to getting into it!

Same mate, I've been injured and busy with a new client. Only managed 1464 last month and this one's looking worse with 976 to date.

And that's just the cyclist's! You have to remember, it's the last cyclist in the peloton who is exposed and we take our CCR very seriously Cracked 13K for the year. The numbers will be down on last year but the improvements I've got over the last few months with the added rest have been awesome!
