Dulwich Hill through Sydney city up north via wakehurst parkway and powder works road to st Ives for breakfast. From st Ives to Bobin Head and Berowra waters. Old north road to Wisemans ferry, along the river to Sackville then to Windsor where we got the train back home.
legs feel ok, neck is probably the most sore part of my body today. Going to jump on the bike for a commute tomorrow and see how it goes.

Brilliant. How was it heading out to Wiseman's Ferry and down to Windsor? I'm interested in heading out that way sometime.AndrewBurns wrote:http://connect.garmin.com/activity/244321006

And then it rained this morning, and now the sun is out! I'm hoping it'll stay clear this afternoon.humanbeing wrote:It was bucketing down during the night. This morning it was beautiful if a bit windy.

From Berowra waters to wisemans ferry was misery, I was already pretty tired by that point and it just seemed to go on forever. Big rolling hills, I was too tired to take advantage of the fast down-hill parts and had to crawl back up in granny gear over and over again. From Wisemans to Sackville was pretty nice, mostly flat with one big hill, Sackville to Windsor was pretty boring on the side of dead-flat high-traffic road and there were a few bogans around.humanbeing wrote:

Great ride,

Great effort, I'd probably just head straight up the Pacific Highway through Galston Gorge and onto Old Northern Rd to be fresher and make it a return trip home.

Likewise.AndrewBurns wrote:Well I'm sure it would have been a lovely ride if I were a little fresher, I just have about 100 good kilometers in me and after that I'm a bit over it
Usually I can pull myself together for the last 20 km to home but the last time I rode to West Head, the last 10 km it felt like I was pulling a pile of bricks behind me. HTFU.

I obviously got my timing just right these last 2 days. Sunday morning I was on my way to Eastern creek & it was very pleasant after the heat of Saturday, with just the occasional light drizzle. Met a top bloke who suggested I use the Prospect Creek cycle path, which he was going to & helped considerably in finding my way through Guildford. Though I was going to be in for a hot ride home, but by 3pm a coll change had come through.familyguy wrote:Well that really turned, didnt it? Saturday was hot, nice for a short ride. Sunday got sprinkled on for 40km before it fined up. And today, sheesh, duck weather!
Jim
This morning there was a lot of rain early but as I was running late I missed most of it and got nothing but a light drizzle.
My luck will turn soon enough but for now I am enjoying it.
