Why get shoes in speedplay drilling when you can get the above and it will also protect your carbon soled shoe from the cleat. Also provides a great deal of cleat movement as well. Will increase the stack height of the shoe tho so may need to raise seat height

They're in Australia... although honestly, I can see divorce on the cards if I bought Four Hundred Dollar Bike Shoes.

Specialized have also do speedplay specific drilling but hard to find as well. There were a few floating around in the states when I was there last.
Lake had an older model in black with was speedplay specific.
Diadora do a ProRacer which is speedplay specific. Not sure if you can get them in black but you could ride the Cuddles version of black and fluro.
DMT - do a speedplay specific version as well.
These are just off the top of my head, and in addition to Sidi.
I use speedplay and just run with a normal 3 bolt pattern, means I have greater choice of fit and styles and easier to re sell should I ever need to.

Yep Bont do a 4 bolt speedplay drill pattern. Might take them 6 weeks to do up for you tho.Fixie82 wrote:Bont do have a specific 4 bolt drill patter -just a little harder to find.

Just what speedplays are you running? I'm looking at zeros and they can run both 3 and 4 bolt patterns

Merlin Cycles have the shoes in garish fluro yellow, I'm VERY tempted for safety's sake, as you can understand...

Thinking I'll just get a pair of A ones from Wiggle and see how it goes... 140 bucks is a lot better than anything else I have seen?

And considering I'm thinking custom if my Bont's don't work out. It's an expensive affair.

One good thing I heard from GKS is that it sounds like they will regularly send two pairs if there is concern about size, and return the wrong pair. I would need a special order it seems, so at least I could get a normal Vaypor shoe in the SPD mounting, without the extra XC protections and get it in the colour I want... for some reason the Vaypor XC is 340gms, the Vaypor regular is 240gms, and the Commuter One is 300gms... I'm guessing a Vaypor SPD with the sole supports would be around 280gms?

I know one shop I can order from that, but might be able to contact Bont and say trying to buy shoes and no LBS near me will touch them
