A few months ago I paid $125 for an identical stand from Anaconda and that was on special! Currently Pushys at Fyshwick are selling them for $99!flow.rider wrote:Repair stand is great value at $40. Very sturdy and solid.
I got a second one from Aldi as I want to try and modify the bike clamp into a quick release clamp.

Grabbed me one on Saturday. Took 5 minutes to unpack and put together (follwing the instructions, please note!) and its a real ripper. Sensational value at $40 and way better than trying to work on the bikes while they are hanging from the garage ceiling.flow.rider wrote:Repair stand is great value at $40. Very sturdy and solid.
I got mine from the Glendale store on Saturday afternoon and there were still plenty there.

Also bought the pannier rack and bags for my wife's mountain bike for rides to the shops - not so good. Not very sturdy connection to the seatpost (the rack cantilevers from the seatpost only, and can rotate, even with the QR clamp done up very tight) and the bags are likely to come into contact with the rear wheel. They even 'feature' a strap on the side to connect the bags to the rack (where they hang down beside the rear wheel), which when you tighten it, leaves a long tail of the strap to get tangled in the spokes. No easy way to secure it.

Actually I was thinking that a special group for clowns would make my numbers look far more flattering. Despite all my efforts, in the Bike JOurnal listing I am struggling to maintain my spot in the top 100. And inside the thousand internationally.jasonc wrote:I think Colin would take offence to thatDavidTomic wrote:Now we just need custom rankings on the Strava leader boards. Men, Women ... & Clowns!

What a shite, it's a kaiser baas without the name on it.
My kaiser baas cost me $85 from the westfarmers office supply warehouse, works great, records in 20 minute blocks, battery lasts exactly 3 hours.
Wish I'd seen that one, would have saved myself $15, so I'll give it a thumbs up, if you can't get that one (they are notorious for being 'out of stock'), you can try the other joint ($95 when not on special), but I'd try to talk them down to $85, by pointing out the supermarket one is the same camera.
If you want to see the quality of the video it takes, check out my you tube link for last Saturday's Retro Riverloop Raturday ride, I post up the videos on Sunday, the last 2 weeks have been with the kaiser video cam.

Was at the store when it opened so I got a camera. I think they only had one box as they were sold out 15 minutes later.Wal42 wrote:What a shite, it's a kaiser baas without the name on it.

Might track down a larger micro sd card in the meantime, as the included 4gb card may not be enough for three hours...

Brett, I'm using a 16gb 10 speed card in mine, have run the battery out (3 hours remember) a few times, it doesn't stop because of memory but battery life. Unless you're doing around or over 100 kms you'll be ok.

Yeah, I bought one too, before upgrading to a GoPro.Wal42 wrote:My kaiser baas cost me $85 from the westfarmers office supply warehouse, works great, records in 20 minute blocks, battery lasts exactly 3 hours.
I've only used it a couple of times. Don't want it and open to offers - pickup from Bris CBD only. PM me an offer.

I will grab 16gb 10x.
Would have run it out today; first ever MTB ride today and oh my goodness... Three sisters out at Ferny Grove... I set a new standard for slow... Perhaps the Samford to Dayborough round trip beforehand slowed me down...
