I'm just imagining the Australian team racing in the Olympics with a rear rack, they did do some weird stuff in the 80s :lol: .

Rob,
Interesting bike..

I saw the EXACT same one 2 weeks ago, serial : SR9030168
I did some digging and the previous seller bought it for 270, sold it for 337.50... not to the guy selling it now so i am very confused... is there a bicycle double???!!!?!!

curious to know what this one will go at..
Picked it up on Saturday. Different bike so all is well. A full service history from Yellow Jersey and runs oh so perfectly. The only issue is that it uses a weird 28.4mm seat post. I'll need a shim to fit the new 3t post

Yeah, woulda been a few watching that, including me. But you never know how far the successful (never use the term 'winner' and 'fleaBay' in same sentence) bidder would have gone. The only way to think of it. Always another on the merry-go-round... Drop out when your limit's reached, I say. Walk away.... no tears now... :lol:

Indeed. There's always something else out there. Likely better and cheaper too.

Nice,....... one of the few asian mass produced bikes from that era that have nice angles and half decent tubes IMHO. infinitely better than the ubiquitous repco superlite(Giants).

A forum member scored a cracking Apollo III for peanuts at a second hand store last week so will be an interesting comparison. Having owned one (still have it hanging in the shed, well worn and well loved) I've got a soft spot for them.

The Hillman I posted earlier is finishing tonight and I'm sitting with my popcorn preparing for the automated deathroll. A flurry earlier today saw it reach $414 but all is quiet now awaiting the final moments. I'm predicting $650 for the win, I'm glad it's too big :)

$414! $236 dollars off!

The auction finished too late!!
I find that Sunday afternoon finishes are the best buys!

No evident provenance on that one. It's been a 'find' for someone., Dunno, just feel better when someone's had it for a significant period; my hang-up, I admit. And I always bid in multiples of 11. People are habituated in the decimal system. On occasions I've guessed at having pipped people by a few dollars for that reason. Could be all in my head, of course. :lol:

Yes, I was apparently more interested in it than I thought I was :)

Odd bidding amounts have worked quite well for me at times too.

Auction states "Infinity" tubes, photo clearly shows Tange 900, bit of a difference but seems an honest mistake. Half decent is correct, needs a spruce up, wouldn't pay much more than a pineapple.

The little Fuji is back again, at a reasonable start price:

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Fuji-womens- ... cc4&_uhb=1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

familyguy wrote:That Fuji has been up four or five times, coming down from $400 in very slow movements. I reckon mid-$200's is about right for that. The Cyclone parts on it were decent enough. I've learned via a few web resources that Fuji built some quality frames that flew well under the radar.

And here's the bike: http://www.classicfuji.com/ClubFuji_1986_Page.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; You can see it's basically catalogue condition, even the bar tape and straps! I don't know what the 449 refers to, but it's probably 'new price' in '86.

VALite frame info: http://www.classicfuji.com/1986_30_Fram ... 1_Page.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; & http://www.classicfuji.com/1986_31_Fram ... 2_Page.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The Classic Fuji website is a great resource.
