Good one...me too probably!
I can't upload to Strava at work which is very frustrating having to be at work all day and to wait until evening to upload my early morning rides...the system at work won't allow me to download the plug-in required to upload

That is easy. Manual upload. Just select the FIT file from the Garmin once it is recognised as a USB drive. :)

Thanks Norbs...I think!!

Ive never tried that way before, I'm paranoid that I'll lose data....especially on a ride where I think that I've got a cup on a popular segment...man I have it bad!
If this was twitter or instagram it would be a hash tag of firstworldproblems

I am 1kg lighter not long after I have read the paper and had a cup of tea every morning 8)

I weigh in after I have dropped a Baldy and before breakkie. :)
Good to know the correct procedure for weighing an a-hole :)

grantw wrote:I did my usual luncheon ride with the guys at work today, and as I have a 200 planned for Saturday I was intending to take it easy for the remainder of the month. Though having just loaded the ride data to strava I see I've got 764km and 9809m for November, so I'm going to have to do a milkrun later in the week to make it up to 800km and 10,000m.

I think I've now got stravaspergers syndrome.
I'm heading over to Blackbutt Reserve with the 29er this afternoon. Should be there about 6:30. If you wanted to join me I'm sure we can come up with that 200m pretty easily. Would be done in a lot less than 36km though as there isn't much flat stuff in there. I'm planning to join some of the trails together into some sort of loop which would provide a nice strava segment that people could use as a map for the majority of the trails. At the moment I've used the multiride mapper to come up with this.

A nice easy solo 78km for me this morning to bring my November total to just shy of 700k's my best month for 2012. Should I go back out to knock off the 2.1k's to round out 700km?

I hope to go yellow next week. :D

Good riding to you all .... it is motivating to follow your progress. Lots of high achievers in the 6k club this year

I'm so close I can taste it. Have come down with a nasty something and am struggling to ride at all. If I can knock off 51km today and tomorrow then I'll have my target a month early. Not looking likely though

Thanks Shane, but I have my yoga class tonight, so I'll be up getting early tomorrow morning.

Multiride mapper looks very useful.

You need to ask? Last year I finished off with a 400m ride after realising I only needed something like 7m more climbing to make 85000m for the year.

Yeah, very handy for stuff like this. I just picked the most popular segment within Blackbutt and mapped all rides that included that segment. Should do one/s for the Brokers Nose and Keira area to see what they come up with as well.

I finally felt good enough to go for a ride after work this morning. Made it easier as I meet my mate on his way to work.

I have broken another wheel on the CX bike though :( That's the 3rd time and once again it's cracked around the spoke holes.

I may have to try a new wheel builder.

Woke up feeling a whole lot better this morning 8) Rode all the way in to work which is about 33k and it was just one of those awesome rides. I've been on a high for the two hours since I've been at work.

I now have 9.9km to go to get my target... The homeward run should take care of that

Well done Ozkaban, nice to see the goals being met.

I made good on my mini goal of 800km and 10,000m for November this morning with an early run to Bulli and back. Only 420km left to do and a whole month to do it in :)

Am within sight of 6k - only 550 km to go and a month to do it in. I wasn't confident that I would make it at the start of the year & 3 weeks off in May set me back a bit.

Once I knock this over I might have to challenge myself further next year.

Well done to everyone who are ahead of their targets, and especially to those who've already reached them - great efforts.
As I've said a few times, this forum is a fantastic motivator, and the banter and advice is always appreciated.

I was hoping to get out this morning for one last ride for Nov, but alas - work. So here's my month.
15 rides (ytd 136)
631.05km (ytd 5829.58)
8091 meters climbed. Nov is my first full month using Strava, so ytd figure I had is incorrect. I'd say my actual year is somewhere between 60000-70000 metres.
Highlights for Nov were climbing Lake Mountain, and doing the Eastlink ride.

Looking forward to the last month of my first full year of cycling, and wondering what my target next year should be!
Thanks again everyone, keep up the great riding.

Wahoo! Target: achieved.

21.2k on the way home sees me over my target by about 10km. Very happy camper though that was one humid ride home!

621km for November included a 150k ride and a week or so below par with a chest infection. Still a good month, and I'm very happy...

My fiancee's computer died the other day, she got a tech bloke round to have a look and apparently it is absolutely toast.

The excel spreadsheet she made for me to enter my weekly and cumulative mileage was on there :( .
Hopefully a nerdy mate can retrieve that and other stuff from the HD otherwise i'll just guess. At least next year i won't have to do that now i'm on strava.

Another good month, just shy of 750KM (749.5KM) after 800 in October. 6,999 is looking fairly easy now although 21 Dec is my last day at work for the year and riding will most likely stop then.
