Hi all,
I will be moving to Townsville early jan and was hoping to find some info regarding group rides. I have searched the net but not much info around on group rides.
Thanks in advance.

I haven't been on any group rides in Townsville, and am leaving here in Feb before I get a chance to add a road bike to my collection. However, from what I understand a few of the bike shops have regular group rides.

I know cycle de vie does a 70km 28-32km/hr ride as I was in store the other day and it was up on a chalkboard.
My wife tells me Top Brand (the specialised dealer) advertises in store for a womens group, may not be organised by the store though.
I have not noticed any other stores advertise organised rides and I have been in them all in the last 2 weeks looking for a MTB.
In saying the above, there are small to larger groups riding around town most mornings.

Just drop in and see the guys at Top Brand Cycles or Cycle de Vie, I'm sure they can hook you up with something. All seem pretty friendly and good to deal with.
