Looks like it could be a wet one on the Rainbow ride tomorrow.
Better put the wet weather tyres on and wear a thermal top.
Forget about the second waterbottle !

Went out this morning, being optimistic, managed only 30 km in the gail force winds and rain. Got so cranky i head butted a Magpie that swooped me. I was in no mood.

Hopefully next weekend will be better. :?:

What is it with these nightly northerly winds? Last night I had a 44 kph gusting to 52 kph  and that really slows you down big time.
It would not be at all strange if history came to the conclusion that the perfection of the bicycle was the greatest achievement of the nineteenth century.

7km from home completely drenched at Everton park. The lightning scared the living daylight out of me. Now blue skies!

Got out early this morning, only got rained on for the last 15 mins of my ride.

Hope tomorrow stays dry for all those participating, the Canungra descent will be much more enjoyable/safer.

I spoke to one of the organizers this morning. If its showers it's go but if its a full on storm they will cancel.

Thing is you'll have to front up anyway.

Big storm front coming through shortly. A bit different to the 37 degrees yesterday.

Gorgeous. Where is that if you don't mind my asking?

I hope the weather stops playing up, starting to miss riding my bike with all these storms...

Ask away. The first one is about 100m up the road from the Goat Track on the run from Mt Nebo to Mt Glorious and the panorama is Kipper Creek which is opposite Lake Wivenhoe and is about 2km down Wivenhoe-Summerset Road after doing the Mt Glorious to Lake Wivenhoe decent.

I've been loving the storms. So much better than riding in the 40 degree heat we had last week.

I think the rain saved us last night, wasn't any warmer this morning than the last week.

Woooeeee! Reckon I lost 2kgs on the river loop and commute this morning!

And that's with drinking a big (Milton's) coffee and two bidons of water.... Was talking to a motor bike rider as we sat in traffic and he was kitted out in head to toe black protective gear. He could barely keep his eyes open from the sweat on his face!

I think the real heat will be for the commuters on their way home.
