Re: Neo-Retro Fausto CoppiWould look nice(r) with a lugged fork.
Re: Neo-Retro Fausto CoppiNot usually a big fan of Coppis but that is very clean, nice stuff.

Re: Neo-Retro Fausto Coppilooks like a nice ride. what sort of tubing is it?
Re: Neo-Retro Fausto Coppi
You see these on ebay pretty regularly, usually Aelle or Thron tube set.

Re: Neo-Retro Fausto CoppiStunning bike. amazing colour
i think Sram groupsets work really well with the aesthetics of an older steel frame
Re: Neo-Retro Fausto Coppi
Very smooth bike, but what is it with that unicrown unholiness on a bike that nice??!! Then again, its not my bike so my opinion means nada. Get a nicely made lugged fork, or a Ritchey carbon like zynster's. Jim MY RIDES: My Velospace Profile
Re: Neo-Retro Fausto CoppiEvery other Coppi I've seen is a lugged frame, yet mine is fillet braised. It also has distinctive seat stays that attach well below the top tube. It's also very light (around 1.7kg frame). Obviously there are different grades of Coppi, though this is not so apparent when buying one. It's made by Masciaghi in Italy.

Re: Neo-Retro Fausto CoppiI like them both, but prefer Zynster's. Dislike the forks on both though
Re: Neo-Retro Fausto Coppi
Thanks, It's Columbus Thron with a contentious Genius fork. Frame was quoted at 2100gm; the whole build still feels lighter than a couple of my other steel framed rides....
Re: Neo-Retro Fausto Coppi
Mine came with carbon forks. Big beefy ones that totally looked wrong. I got the Ritcheys as there was little chance of getting an appropriate set of Coppi genius forks. Plus I wasn't going for a retro bike. I wanted a bike that combined the awesomeness of steel with modern ergos. Fausto Coppi Reparto Corse | Giant Farrago Cross
Re: Neo-Retro Fausto CoppiA nice solution.
I ride 25s on the basis that they divide more easily into 100 than 23s.
Re: Neo-Retro Fausto Coppi
You did a great job of it, you would never know it's even a retro bike.
Re: Neo-Retro Fausto Coppii don't think it is a retro bike, wal.

Re: Neo-Retro Fausto CoppiI like them both as they've probably fulfilled (or exceeded) the goals of their respective owners
Most importantly, how are they for climbing and blitzing past the show ponies on carbon fibre et cetera bikes? That's my plan for my next project with my retro frame married to a modern & ergo group and wheelset to smash the hills and hopefully keep up with the fellas on their uber expensive carbon machines. 1972 LeJeune World Champion - Nuovo Record

Re: Neo-Retro Fausto CoppiThat's a great looking bike. Great build as well. I'm impressed!
