^^ you are obviously a big bloke mate. Nice Kennedy. I think those are/where made by John Kennedy (JFK). I used to race with him years ago at CCCC. He went to the states I think in a bid to break the world flying 200m record. He was a fit strong big bloke. Very confident and very good. He also used to race with us at the local club which was good for us hacks to see the real thing up close. Steve Pate used to come and watch sometimes as well (never raced us at club level though). I was about 20 years old and a little star struck when they showed up. I remeber JFK riding one of those Zipp bikes and breaking it. Ahhh....the good old days.

I have got race wheels - dura ace hubs, tubular tyres, forget the breed though - but they are much lighter than these ones. One day i'll get some PRO-LITE Vicenza

Need to work on the engine first though

This is my personal Pro-Lite Menaggio Track Bike. Had its first training session this week.

I'm not sure about the handlebars but the rest of it is amazing.

I am trying to decide whether to get my old 28 spoke hubs respoked with singles rims or convert to high pressure rims. (tubular or clincher for you youngins)

Singles, of course, high pressures have no place on a track bike unless you're a junior

Yeah I agree with that David but I won't be racing for quite sometime but I do want to use it on the rollers.

Still no reason not to go singles - not like you'll have to repair any punctures, and you can use $30 Continental trainers instead of fancy silks - and if you DO race later you'll have the right rims so you can put the fancy rubber on then

bought new around 1990, not seen much use, put it back together about 3 years ago with a new crankset and wheels and did a few club events at Chandler but I'm a long way from peaking
Hoping to get into some semblence of shape once time and finances (divorce/child custody hearings ) allow, want to be back on the track at the end of this year.

Hey Derny Driver, can you still buy the Sugino cranks? I am a fan of them, might not have the oh wow Campag ring to it but they were still good quality a long with Galli cranks that I ran and still have on my Track bike.

Hey foo, Yes I bought them new .... Ebay Japan, about $200 plus postage. Great value I reckon.
Just type Sugino 75 into Ebay and you'll see them there. Postage from Japan better than the USA.
