What a story! I especially like that your cross trainer has a rack. Is that for snacks?eldavo wrote:
When wife mentioned a cross trainer I was ready with the sales pitch for this in the back of my head, but it never moved to forward brain to justify it. Everyone's a winner on this one Street Strider 3 speed in Wild Berry on a Jet Black Z1 fluid trainer. There is no furniture or plasma TV as bikes come first

Since the pantry isn't too far away the child seat can go on this rack, maybe sideways mounted so our 10month old boy can look out the window instead of bouncing backsides.
My goal for the year is to have ridden every keeper bike to work 40km round trip. Only two that haven't yet Fat Sand Bike (no front brake, fine for sand, not for road) and the Street Strider for lack of prep.
I will take it for a test ride to the local shops for bread/milk to get some road handling experience. A small fear of the double cardio workout is popping my ticker on a big climb, then having to do the ultimate walk of shame to nearest intersection to wait for an ambulance.

Here's my bike with it's new wheels-
Been doing a bit of tweaking today, cranked up the tension release on the pedals and put non-floating cleats on my shoes. Also, the other day I changed the angle of my handlebars. I might have to do a bit of reading to do with cleat positioning. After a bit of mucking around I think I got the positioning right though.

I have a new frame in the family. It's an Apollo Artec R Olympic Edition. Frame replaces my Scott CR1 frame that jet star got a little rough with. It will eventually be repaired.
