Anybody know what else they handle?KuotaBoy wrote:The rep that came and checked the bike was from Gemini Cycles. They have already dusted their hands saying there is no problem with the bike. Obviously!MarkG wrote:Yeah it did. No longer Gemini Bicycles.
Its the mob who bring in Cervelo, Derby Cycles.

...whatever the road rules, self-preservation is the absolute priority for a cyclist when mixing it with motorised traffic.

Gemini used to do Cervelo and Rotor too.
Derby have taken Cervelo (as of August) not sure about Kuota and Rotor tho.
Derby also do Focus.
One of the bike shops I spoke to recently reckoned no new Kuota distributor had been announced yet, so after Geminis deal finished there was a chance of no 2013 models in Australia, which seems about right, as the current KOM model is the 2012, and there's no sign of the KOM Air (2013) even existing here..

Fixed it for you.KuotaBoy wrote:has been sorted! LBS has come through and is going to replace the frame for free. Respect partially restored!
Very glad about the outcome, not overly impressed with the effort taken to get there though! What an ordeal, but as you said, with a very happy ending.

That's a great outcome. Well done by the bike shop for eventually doing the right thing.

It is a positive outcome, however, should never have reached that point in the first place.
I dunno about the thoughts of others, but if an LBS cannot even set up a bike they sell - let alone a multi-thousand dollar one, then they should either close the doors, or undertake a bit of training - NOT on customer bikes either.
cheers
