Mini-bottle brush cleaner. You'll find them in the kiddies section at BigW/Target. I also pull the mouthpiece off and throw the whole thing on the dishwasher.sir_camel wrote:I love my Podium bottles. Does anyone have hot tips for stopping mould buildup in the mouthpiece though? It's so hard to clean in there and it gets a bit gross.

I regularly soak my bottles in a mixture of lemon juice and boiling water.danny the boy wrote:sir_camel wrote:I love my Podium bottles. Does anyone have hot tips for stopping mould buildup in the mouthpiece though? It's so hard to clean in there and it gets a bit gross.
Seems to lift off all the muck but eventually all bottles die.

On my Camelback Podium bottles, it's possible to pull off the little clear mouthpiece off, that's how you clean them. Otherwise they get pretty yucky.sir_camel wrote:I love my Podium bottles. Do it carefully though, otherwise you might not get it back on again. They are great bottles. I haven't got the insulated ones, just the regular items.

One standard bidon and one camelback. Both frozen and placed on the bike at the same time. Drank the standard bidon first and after about 90 mins the water was starting to get hot. Went to the camelback at about 2 hours - water had completely melted but was still cold. Absolutely bliss at the time
Only downside is the capacity is 600mls. When it is stinking hot every little drop counts lol.

I am very happy with them Matt. The frozen is staying very cold a good three hours even on the morning where the temp averaged 35C. When I started drinking from it about an 1.5 hours into the ride it still had ice in it. The one I drink first is half frozen and that stays cool until empty, so for me excellent value and a bit of kit.Matt_Matt wrote:Aushiker wrote:Andrew, how are the chills holding up in the heat at the moment ?
