Had no reply or acknowledgement from them so I reckon you are right. Pity as its a fantastic idea I reckon. I'll go for 130k and try for 150.

Got a reply back. The fella says he can't guarantee anything but will pass it on. Says to keep an eye out for other challenges coming up. Hope it does get up.

I've been using Strava since June and have just over 100,000m and 6,500km so 200,000 should be doable. Started doing crits this year as well so the hill miles have been down a bit. The week of the Alpine Classic should give me 10,000 so that's a start!

It's hard enough just completing the two Strava climbing challenges per yr, let alone worrying about it for 12 months lol

They were not easy only 6% of participants finished the Classic, about 20% completed Rapha Rising.

That was the idea... but on here, don't think it is possible to set it up on Strava. If everyone had a "Norbs" progress bar like mine below it would be very easy to keep track of ( there is a 24-48 hour lag on it refreshing though ). Maybe a 3 star system... Bronze at 100,000, Silver at 150,000 and Gold for those that make 200,000. Maybe some clever cookie can create a multiple progress bar for this thread linked to everyone's signatures .

You can add them all to the top post easy enough if everyone gets the one Marshious made. - toolonglegs - norbs - sblack etc etc

Too easy...will this refresh automatically come Jan 1st Norbs?. Maybe you need to do a reminder for people who haven't got this sig on how to get it... it doesn't actually have to be in your sig bar, can be just set up and placed here ( so as not to annoy AUbicycles too much ... or RonK ) If every one just copies this ( or the the latest version ) post and adds in their sig we can easily keep track of everything... just put your name after your sig like Norb's has done ( and maybe your goal like I have done, keep it short ). Happy climbing - toolonglegs ( going for 200,000 ) - norbs - sblack

Any graphic designers want to design the medals?... no rush as no one will reach 100,000 till at least March ( ok maybe Feb for Dimma )... just little medals that we can place next to the names when each of the 3 goals are reached ( 100,150,200... OK a platinum for Dimma as well for 300! ).

I agree, maybe if that was the goal for the year it is possible... but personally even though I want to climb much more next year I am still built for flat races and TT's so that's what I will concentrate on. PS... dumping the goals, looks tidier.... especially once we earn the medals . - toolonglegs - norbs - sblack - Dimma

I'm going for it If I can stay healthy I'll get 140k easy. If I can squeeze in one extra ride a month I'll be at 170k. So on and so forth. Can you set up those sigs so they plug into strava?

I moved to a hilly suburb in November last year, which helped: I've done 250,000m of climbing so far this year, over 17,500km.
