Alright, out of the box they fit pretty well
A bit of pressure on the bunyin on my right foot but we'll see how the heat molding deals with that.
Length and width are good, very stiff.

If they could do a custom shoe for an extra hundred, I'd go custom. I was just outside the 41 Wide, guessing that a bit of heat molding would fix it up
YES
I'm having that exact issue!!!! My 2nd toe is larger than my big toe, heck my 3rd toe is just a tad longer talking a mm longer than my big toe. I've emailed bont and now going to copy that info in as well. Already contacted GKA sports asking about Bont Commuter 1 wide in a 46 1 size up on my vaypors which I'm thinking about offloading due to toes being cramped
The sizing wizard directed me to measure to my longest toe.
We'll see how I go,

Pretty happy with the shoes. Unusual sensation, them being so rigid.
They feel a bit weird walking but on the bike it feels good. Pedal to the metal :D

So after my lil drama of my last shoes being too small, I've ordered from evanscycles Bont Vaypor in size 46 standard. Looked at the old chart and I'm under 111 width so standard for me.

Only use the current size wizard on the bont website for new or current style boots.

They changed their sizing a few years back so the older size in back dated stock will be different

Old style shoe fit compared to current one says the same for width. I think I had 112mm before and measure now is 108, checked it last night as it was down to 106 & 107 so shows you want shoes doing to your feet.

Discount not showing here either. Do you have to enter a code or something?

Xpolora - if you enter 'xmas' in the code section when you actually check out, it calculates the discount.

Still not as cheap as Merlin for the Vaypors..

You got a code or something as the Vaypors are showing as $265 at Merlin

(AT) gkasports as Mark has said you need to enter 'xmas' in the code section in checkout. It then displays the total on the next page before you confirm.

I got an email on Sunday offering double discount for Vaypors, so I got them for about $56 off.

My cheap Shimano 46W turned up... if I tape up some of the toes on my right foot (with advice from the dancer daughter - you should see what pointe shoes do to feet!) they are a comfortable fit. First ride tomorrow.

All's well with the Bont A1 shoes.
Three goes with the heat moulding has ironed out the issues with the right foot which is larger than my left with a prominent bunion (probably caused by wearing shoes that are too tight).
All good now.

Ah glad someone has got there Bont right.
Mine are going to undergo heat molding either until I'm happy or not. I've got new Bont Vaypor XC which I will return and get a refund for if I'm not happy with the Bont Vaypor's

Just a little shout out for Specialized, I tried on a Comp road shoe today and it felt good. Put the arch support into it, felt AWESOME. I'm definitely picking up a pair of these in the New Year. Never felt a shoe so comfortable. I actually said to Mal (Kangazilla.com.au) that I wanted something less comfortable because comfort tends to mean lack of stiffness hehehe. Seriously impressed.

If a shoe fits right, stiffness shouldn't affect the comfort.

Both mine are bang on.

A1s were close to perfect out of the box

similar story with the vapours.

only needed to heat mould the once (which is all that is required in a perfect world)
