As of a few weeks ago, they didn't exist yet. Because the connector is (substantially) different I expect it will take a little while for companies to sort it out.

The iPhone 5 connector has to have an authenticating chip in every new cable for it to work. So the only way you can currently get connectors is if they are from Apple or licensed. This makes them expensive and limited. However a Chinese firm has reportedly cracked and replicated the authentication chip. They believe they may be able to get cables and accessories out by Christmas. Don't hold your breath though as Apple's lawyers are waiting.

Try the Wahoo Bluetooth Heart Rate and Speed/Cadence sensors.

Works with 4S or 5. I just helped out a workmate with the purchase/setup. Quite impressed. Given the choice now v 18 months ago I would not be buying my Edge 800.

No connection or tie with Wahoo, just reckon its the most cost effective and easy solution.

That stuff is cool! No ANT+ dongle required.

Im surprised you'd not by a garmin though - battery life and durability in the elements easily justified the purchase of a 500 for me.

Unfortunate the Wahoo bike apps are pretty ordinary. But a great alternative is Bike Brain, on the iPhone 5 it is compatible with the Wahoo sensors, and has by far the nicest bike computer interface I've ever seen. Oh, and it's free. Take a look.

Yes, that's what I meant - use the Wahoo sensors with the Bikebrain app.

Can't u just use a lightning to standard iPhone (6 to 30pin) adaptor, then plug the wahoo into that?

It's supposed to work but the shop hasn't had anyone actually do it, so in Theory it should, but know one has or anyone who has they havn't confirmed it!

Haha I just realized I should test it, as I have a wahoo to calibrate my quarq with, and just upgraded to the iPhone 5... I'll give it a try soon..,

Don't know if anyone is still interested in this, but using a proper apple 30-pin to lightening adaptor to plug in the ant+ works really well. I've been using it for several months now without any difficulty. You just need to be careful with it as it sticks out quite a bit from the bottom and you could easily give it a solid whack. I would love to have a proper iPhone 5 ant+, but until then I'm pretty happy with this.

The Viiiiva HRM has ANT+/Bluetooth connectivity which allows you to connect your ANT+ sensors to the iPhone 4S/5 (via Bluetooth) without an adapter sticking out of your phone. You get Heart Rate Data, Cadance, Speed, Power, etc....transmitted to the iPhone app. I have been using it with Wahoo, Strava, iSmoothrun, etc and it is great.

You can use it while running too!
