BomBom Freebairn

Postby Fitzie » Fri Dec 21, 2012 6:14 pm

Hi.This is my first post ,hope I get it right.
I was reading about Bill Freebairn on this forum, and it has prompted me to see if anyone could help me with a request.
Bill was the sponser of what was known then[1950] as the Bill Freebairn Annuel Open ,under the control of the then NSWACU.
it was 112 miles out and back race, 4 times over Deadmans Gourge, start was I think at Ingleburn ,out near Liverpool,I won that race and now at the tender age of 83. I have been wondering if anyone would still have a photo of that finish,I realize it's a long shot, but it would bring back fond memories of those days in my disrespectful youth, before I saddle up for that big bike race in the sky.
Kind Regards Fitzie.
P.S. Or maybe someone may be able to point me in the right direction to research for it .

Actually, just did a quick search of this site and found this post

It's an oldie, but some of the members are still around and may be able to provide some further info.
