Not long to go now. Easy to spot when I had the heart attack. Slowed me down but did not stop me.

Well done norbs, you closed the gap nicely.

What are you going to do next year with your expansion of km's?

I expect to ease back. I went a bit mad this year because of the charity ride.

Well that's me over the line with a nice 70km ride this morning. Now I just have to do 5 parties and 500km in the next week. 8)

That right there is what the 6k club is all about. The man's heart nearly gave out and he shrugged it off and got back on his bike again. There just aren't enough kudos on Strava to give him. Chapeau Dave!

Thanks everyone. I really enjoyed the riding and it has helped me stay fit and I reckon speed up my recovery. Thanks for all the support.

One party down down. Another one tomorrow. I'll try and lay down a ride in the morning which will mark the start of the Rapha challenge. I doubt I will make it to 500 but I'll give it a shot.

I find about 50km per party is sufficient.

Congrats.

Give your man a thanks for that one norbs. Looks like it's time to make the call and put my climbing goal in for next year.

Merry Christmas 6k'ers, hope you all have a great final week of 2012. I've enjoyed this thread, and am looking forward to new goals, and more advice, encouragement and banter on the 2013 thread. Thanks to you guys & girls for helping me enjoy my first year of cycling so much!
I will put a final total for my year on here next week, I don't think it's going to increase by much though. Will get a few short rides in, but no long ones.
Thanks again and roll on 2013!

Wishing all my fellow 6kers a Very Merry Christmas. With all prepared it's now time to get off to bed and get a few hours sleep before the kids wake me up.
