Hi all
Managed to score myself one of these as a chrissy present.
It was purchased from wiggle and comes with three plugs, but not an Aussie one.
Any suggestions on where I can pick one up from. Google is failing me in this!
Thanks

You can just buy an international adapter for say $12, and stick the UK plug in that or you can obtain a Garmin Oz charger from most GPS suppliers for about $30.00
Cheers

Hubby has the 800 from the UK. If it's the same type of unit, it's just a mini USB plug that can be charged from any USB wall charger.

Thanks guys, will just use an adapter or usb charge for the moment. I just thought Garmin may sell the aussie plug for the AC charger separately, but it appears they may not.

just buy a travel plug. you can find them just about anywhere. I am pretty sure you can also just use a standard USB charger.Warnesy wrote:Thanks guys, will just use an adapter or usb charge for the moment. No they don't the little <naughty word here>. This is to encourage local sales apparently. As I said you can buy another charger unit WITH the Oz adapter but not just the little adapter faceplate.Warnesy wrote: I just thought Garmin may sell the aussie plug for the AC charger separately, but it appears they may not.

I just charge my 500 from the computer. Regularly forget to unplug it and so it gets a healthy charge that way.
Infact I'm not sure where the charger is anyway.

Or if you have any other type of USB-Wall charger that will work. Eg I charge my GoPros/GPS devices/TV Remote control/iPhone/iPod and what not all from the one wall mount

I honestly cannot remember the last time I used my Garmin wall charger. I just use the USB cable, plugged into my laptop, for charging. I religiously take my Garmin off my bike after every ride, plug it into my laptop, download the data and just leave it there to charge.
I do the same with my GoPro camera as well.
If you need a wall charger, places like OfficeWorks sell very cheap wall USB chargers. I got mine for $5 on special. I use it for any device requiring a USB cable to charge.
