Hey guys,
all you cyclists out there, i pose a question to you, i would like an opinion.
I found this bike i have been looking for all over sydney, it retails for 5,200 dollars AUD and i found it inner west sydney for 4,679 dollars.
Then, i found this bike shop in hawaii, selling it for 4,249. Nearly 1000 Dollars off !!!!
So the question is, should i risk buying online from there, having the bike come to me, and the only assembly i have to do, is put the wheels on?
( the bike comes in a free hard case bike bag )
I don't know what could go wrong, but friends tell me not to buy online. I sometimes believe them, but then i dought myself, what could possibly go wrong? should i just accept the deal i got in sydney? or try and get the GRAND off in hawaiii?
WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK ))

Plus 5% duty on complete bicycles
$4249 + $212.45 duty = $4461.45
+ $446.15 GST = $4906.60 (plus sundry customs clearance charges)
$4249 + $212.45 duty = $4461.45
+ $446.15 GST = $4906.60 (plus sundry customs clearance charges)

But GST is levied on the landed price, which means the cost of shipping and insurance must be included in the calculation.queequeg wrote:Complete bicycles are exempt from duty. you'll only need to pay customs processing + GSTil padrone wrote:Plus 5% duty on complete bicycles

It's only 430 discount or thereabouts? Surely you could bargain someone down that much, if not more?
