The Super Elliot on Ebay? $300. Id love to have those hubs. What about those pedals? I have a set, sans the screw on dust cap. Any ideas?

Here's an example of optimistic pricing.

I bought a bike off this guy yesterday, he charged 65 euros for shipping. cheap as. He has another Dancelli which I'm sure he'll take 205 euro for. That's very cheap. with shipping about $350.00. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dancelli-12- ... 337eb37824" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I hope someone is wise enough to to buy.

I bought a Spezzotto off this guy around 18 months ago - very nice bike and a reputable seller.
It would not be at all strange if history came to the conclusion that the perfection of the bicycle was the greatest achievement of the nineteenth century.

Campy on ebay .

Be aware I have watched this guys auctions in the past and he operates under at least 3 ebay names and items seem to be relisted with a strong hint of shill bidding.

It's a Paino!

I've been watching that and was a also a bit suspicious about the bidding history, plus the pickup is at Minno!

LOL you pronounced it correctly , for a local anyway :P .

I suspect rabih2007 , wozmar11 and brah2012 have a lot in common .Im sure there are some other user names .

I dont mind if someone has many accounts to avoid ebay fee's but bidding on items and giving yourself glowing positive feedback for doing so = scammer .

never seen one before, interesting that it's named spacelander, the race to the moon was on back then.
also the seller says the frame is entirely made of fibreglass........I don't think so, it must be a f/glass cover over a normal steel frame :?

bicyclemike at bikeforums.net (28/11/2006) says
My Partner John Howland and I bought the rights to the Bowden Spacelander in the 80's from Ben Bowden and have built over 160 of them in the last 19-20 years. The originals were very fragile and did have a marked propensity for breaking on the downtube AND the front fenders.. I know about the fenders because ....well...I have sold lots and lots and lots of fenders to owners of originals to repalce their broken ones. Our continuing production started off being built initially with a very partial internal frame (1988-1990) under the fiberglass bodywork specifically to address the weakness of the Downtube and the bottom bracket area on the originals. Handling was still squirrelly like on the original and then we went to a custom made internal frame (1991-present) that gave the bike significantly more strength and better ride.
Interesting :)
Cheers

A very nice Cliffs of Dover White 1960 Bowden "Spacelander", white fiberglass,
manufactured by Bomard Industries. Excellent original condition.
At a real auction (not eboy) On the 1 Dec, 2012 for US$12,250

Wow that's really cool. Not $42,000 worth of cool, but very interesting all the same.

Or a Gary Fisher MTB. It's not even the top model although postage is cheaper!

Well...The Repco Spectra is a fairly nasty piece of work (stamped dropouts etc) and ordinarily you'd use it as a garden decoration but as a fixie candidate they're not bad (my ghetto fixie is a red/white/black spectra). It's no worse than than the Repco single speed you can buy brand new in Big W at the moment.

However, anything with a Graecross sticker on it should be melted down. They are an offense to bicycling. Pretty ambitious trying to flog those for $125 since he grabbed them for free off a verge somewhere.
