Similar thing last year, front rim hit the ground as I tried to corner at 35kph, straight across in front of a car in the slip lane, then across two lanes of road and stopped against the centre island of the intersection. Took a few minutes for the HR to come down, my timing was very lucky... 80kph road I went across.poohkies wrote:had the most scary'est blow out so far...

So you win again.twizzle wrote:I fitted a new rear tyre on Wednesday night, because on the way home on Tuesday, some ahole failed to give way and with the resulting rear-wheel lockup I ripped about 10cm of tread off the tyre. So... that should reduce my puncture probability.
Looks like coffee is on me at this point.
