I have some boron fibre prepreg left over from an experimental frame project. I don't have enough freezer space to store it so I'm giving it away to anyone who wants to play with this amazing material (stronger, stiffer and tougher than carbon fibre, also six times the price). There's a little over a metre of 150mm unidirectional prepreg, cured thickness is 0.15 mm. The resin is 120 C cure so you'll need a temperature controlled oven.
If you've never worked with boron before: avoid cutting it, grinding it or sanding it if you can - the splinters are unbelievably sharp and PAINFUL. The best method I have found is to cut the prepreg to shape as accurately as possible so no post-cure shaping is required. A pizza cutter on a plastic board works well.
