Sorry to create a new topic, however search isn't being my friend.
I'm currently looking to buy a 2nd hand frame however I'm quite unsure of which sections to ask for close-up pictures. I'm sure I've read a thread about this several years ago, if anyone could answer or lead me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

The areas I like to see up close are the drive side chain stay to see if there is any damage from chain slap to the area, most won't has they have protectors but can be a good indicator of how much love the bike has been shown. Also around any major joins such as the bottom bracket (underneath as well), seat tube junction and headtube. Good close up high res pics are needed to get the most out of the inspection, its funny but I tend to notice more from pictures than inspecting the bike in person. Would also be a good idea to get pics of the threads for the BB if its BSA and the condition of any cups both BB and headset.
Good luck and happy shopping
