I found it much easier riding at night. I did three ~100 km efforts leaving around 7 pm. Mind you, it was still 32 degrees, which is a warm ride but at least I didn't have to worry about sunburn. My last ride was this morning and ended at 10:30 am and 37 degrees. That was too hot for me. The night rides were much nicer.

failed, only managed 290km's very sad, had hoped to manage more, but with flying to broome, and weather against me as well as family commitments it just didn't happen, plus side, i managed 1060km's for the month, so happy i reached my 1000km month goal!

I noticed this year there were a lot more competitive people.
I made the top 50 last year with 700 odd kilometres (or 100, I was on the first page of results).
This year you needed over 1000km to be on the first page of the leaderboard.

I don't know last years numbers but the ladies put in a good effort on this years challenge, of the 751 who signed up 234, so far as there is still a day or two to upload your rides, completed the challenge! There were 2 who completed 1000ks.
Well done!
Looking forward to doing it again!

There are some amazing efforts ppl go to in the name of a Strava challenge. What is everyone else doing with these badges, other than just throwing them in a cupboard?

I have no idea what to do with the roundel.... .but I can think of a few things to do with the 15% off discount code on the back of the card. Just a heads up in case you didn't turn over the card...

I would have posted a photo but its a single use only code haha. Hmmmm... had a quick look and it seems like there are some good rides to be ridden. I will have to take part in a few sometime.

I got mine in the mail too! I'm quite pleased with the roundel and am planning to sew it on a cushion cover. As for the discount code I'm sure I wore out at least one pair of knicks getting the 695kms on the clock in the first place. Certainly didn't have time to go shopping between Christmas and New Year!

Just got mine in the post. Happy memories came flooding back, especially of it ending. I'm thinking about adding it and a few others I've picked up along the way to my old scout blanket if I can find it.
