Seat Tube Length and Head Tube Length

Postby Krank » Sat Jan 05, 2013 9:25 pm

The measurements are for the 2013 Bianchi Oltre XR framesets:

Seat Tube -
53.5cm (59cm frameset)
55.5cm (61cm frameset)

Head Tube Length -
180mm (59cm frameset)
200mm (61cm frameset)

The 61cm frameset has a longer ETT by 1.5cm.

Given the same rider on both bikes riding the same race / event, would the bar height/saddle gap be the same on both bikes?

Would the above longer dims on the 61cm frameset only be attributed to longer rider inseam length ??

Can't see how. The bigger frame would have 2cm less seatpost showing and therefore be 2cm lower relative to the bars. Or have I missed something?

Not enough info.
There will be a probable increase in both stack height and reach of the frame but how much this will also be dependent upon the ST and HT angle of each.
I would assume that the BB drop and fork length for both bikes will be the same as this could also impact on these measurements.

Without redoing the figures, this seems to answer your question.
The front end will be 21mm higher.
