A bit of idle time over the Xmas vacation and I finally got around to putting this together.

Maybe if you just put the more comprehensive range of photos on a photo site, maybe like flickr, which allows the caption - and edit down the video to show less photos, at the more "key" stages, for longer length?

I'm sure there's plenty of people here who'd love to soak up some of the detail of what you've done.

Thanks for your valuable feedback. The montage was never meant to be my magnum opus, but it had the desired effect.
So in the coming weeks I'll add a link and post photos with more detailed explanations.

Meanwhile, if you're interested in building your own I recommend using the following checklist:

1) If you want to save money, try options (A) or (C).
2) If you want to save money but you are short of time and money, try option (A).
3) If you want to save money and you are short of time, try option (B).
4) If you want to save money and you are short of money, try options (A) or (C).
5) If you want to save time, try option (B).
6) If you want to save time but you are short of money, try option (A).
7) If you want lightweight, try option (B).
If you have no mechanical aptitude, try options (A thru C).
9) If you think you have mechanical aptitude but are not sure, try option (D).
10) If you can't handle being stuck in a shed for weeks at a time while your friends are out riding, try options (A thru C).
11) If you think that your friends and/or family may not be supportive of what you are about to take on, try options (A thru C).
12) If you have mechanical aptitude, supportive friends and family, enjoy a challenge, get tremendous satisfaction from making your own stuff, have lots of time, don't mind paying way above the recommended price for the best available, try option (E).

Options
A) Make friends with a good mechanic and then buy someone's 2nd hand 'bent.
B) Buy the best 'bent available.
C) Find another job, save up and buy the best 'bent available.
D) Carefully reconsider options (A thru C). If you end up back at option (D), try simple projects first to give you better insight into what lies ahead.
E) Carefully reconsider options (A thru D). If you get this far I am truely sorry but you are one of the chosen few. Remember to eat well and get enough sleep.
