Recomendations for Mountable Rear Light

Hi guys, I recently bought a Toppeak Aero Wedge saddle bag and found that my rather tall rear light didn't play nice (similar to the one below) - as the mounting mechanism is mounted in the very middle of the bike, leaving very little room behind the saddle post for both accessories.


I tried mounting it on the rear of my saddle bag belt clip with a few zip ties, but the application was less than satisfactory so I'm in the market for a new light.

I tend to ride during the early mornings and afternoons but leave my light on almost always. Would prefer something that can clip on safely to a saddle bag or fit below it without being too bulky. I've looked at the following:

1. Smart 1/2 Watt Rear Light - Looks like it can be fitted to a clip, though I can't find any pictures to confirm this.
2. Knog Frog Strobe LED Rear Light - To Fit under the Saddle Bag
3. Oxford LED Silicon Skeleton Bicycle Rear Light - Because skulls are dope

Looking for a cheapy because I don't expect these things too last, nor do I find them objects of permanence.
Would appreciate any recommendations!

Cheapish: PDW Radbot 1000.
Not cheap but amazing: Niteflux Redzone 4.

Some things like tyres, brakes and lights... Cheap may end up more expensive than you want to pay...

I use Topeak sadle bag also.
Radbot 1000 is very good. The only problem is that it chew batteries too much.
Now I use NiteRider Solas. A bit expensive, but it's USB rechargeable and it's bright (2 watts).

Totally Agree. Lights is one area not to scrimp on quality.

The redzone 4 is no longer available online as the redzone 8 is due out in the very near future.

The Radbot is a solid unit but also check out Cygolite Hotshot - it's 2 watts of "look at me"

+1 on Hotshot, it will clip onto your saddle bag and is USB rechargable and very bright (adjustable brightness so you can turn it down if riding in groups)

dont get the radbot 1000, i have that and the issue is that when the batt goes flat it just dies, get something like the electron super pico, one of the brightest i have used and it lasts a whopping 80 hours on a pair of aaa's, it also has a mount that can be rotated thru 180 degrees so you can place it anywhere
