I was gonna try a link to the bryton with a map of our ride, but it would appear that i did not turn it on properly so it is not recorded.Retro man wrote:Thanks for the ride Elantra!
Enjoyed it very much. Ill have to start training for the climbs again so I can keep you in sight!
So FWIW, lets see if this one works - its a ride that i did down the Tweed about a week ago, on the last day of my hols at Tumbulgum.

Putting the Superlite together with Campy Nuovo Triomphe parts, will be fitting a new cartridge BB, there's some play in the Campy BB I have here & I'm not going down the same path that I did with the Vantage (replace the ball bearings only to find out it was too worn to be servicable). I'm thinking that a few need to go to make way for the stuff that has to be finished or is coming (Benotto Ottimo to be finished, Razesa on way & now Benotto 2500AE on way), so if you're looking for say a Repco Vantage (shim SIS 6 speed touring) or once it's finished a Repco Superlite (Campy Nuovo Triomphe), give me a yell.
Video's of this mornings ride should be up on you tube either late tonight or tomorrow morning, I'll post the links. I'm currently trying to download a version of Adobe CS6 (which apparently will run on XP), if it works, in future I'll load music onto the vids, it appears the kaiser baas either doesn't have a mic, I've farked up the settings when I set it up or it is very. very suppressed, as I'm not getting any soundtrack at all (great news for Mr. Pottymouth), hopefully I can work this stuff out.

I have calipers, levers & D/T shifters here, but if you really want to get rid of them let me know, you still have to give me a price for the Campy RD.
Got so much Suntour stuff here I should probably go with that, but generally they were Record or Arabesque gruppos fitted to them.

It didn't take you long to burn past me up a hill, you certainly got 'into' it quick enough.

There you go munga, you obviously have a buyer at whatever price you want for them.
I'll take my $0.99, vanish off into the distance & bring some more retro gear into Australia, there seems to be a shortage of retro parts, so if I keep collecting bits from O/S, someone will have plenty of stock here for the future.

Me va a correr temprano grupo Suntour, pero necesito un eje 126mm y algunos manillar doblado TDF o similar.
Hey it's all in Spanish, can't seem to locate a model on any of the Razesa's, the sticker on the R/H side of the top tube states 'Handmade', this from what I can trace is fairly standard of Razesa bikes, very low volume Spanish specialist manufacturer. It ain't the lightest beast around, 3.4kgs (frame, headset, BB & fork), it's a fairly close geometry to my Malvern Star Kenetic, so should ride very similar (really nice to ride), so I reckon I may put the Repco Vantage up for sale.
You can't see the very sexy, Zeus aero seatpost, it arrived with the old quill chopped off & jammed in the frame, was 'fun' removing it from the fork, they'd also damaged the thread on the fork, by clamping it in a vice whilst trying to cut the stem or trying to remove it after they'd cut it off, a few minutes with a die & all is well, cranks are Sugino, the rest will be early Suntour. It came with the Zeus seatpost, a set of band on (very rusty band) Simplex D/T shifters, a pair of early Exus pedals (you know, the ones that shim copied for their SPD-SL range) & a period mini pump. The pump & seatpost I'll be using but the other bits are excess, if you need either the Exus pedals or Simplex shifters give me a yell.

Considering I purchased the bike on the 28th of Nov, I had given it up as a lost cause. I'm sort of burnt by the whole thing.
No it won't be ready for Raturday, I need to find a 126mm wheelset (700C prefer not in NOS condition as this one's not a showpony) for it & a set of bars, I cleaned up one of the quills I had lying around & fitted it this evening, it's very low around the steering head, so definitely need a set of TdF or similar bend bars, I'm even thinking of fitting a set of randonneur bars on it.
Better news, the Benny 2500 should be getting packed up in the UK as I speak, the seller is also including a Benny pump (nice bloke for a pom), need a set of 700C 126mm (should be anyway) 600 Arabesque wheels or hubs, munga has a FD (which I'll buy unless it's like NOS, then it's really better suited to someone who's trying to build a pretty bike), so I just have to chase a RD & a set of cranks.
Wazza, I may not make Sunday, we're racing Sat night & I have to work Sunday night, so I'm not sure what sort of pace I'll be comfy with, what time (if at all) I'll be ready to ride & how far, if I commit to Sunday I may disappoint you guys & spoil the ride, I may just be better going for one when I feel like it.

Issues with Alberto, need to source some long reach brakes (preferred option) or a set of 27" wheels, currently looking at a set of Tektro R559 calipers, anyone had any experience with these?
