Thoughts on diagnosing a click coming from the crank area?

Oh and I've just changed the bottom bracket, and chain/rear mech and cluster is 750km old.
Thoughts?

Dirty/dry threads in the BB shell? Dry spindle before the left crank was installed? Left crank not fully torqued during install?
There's probably 997 other possible reasons...

Found that the headset bearings were a bit loose, but the LBS says that they are all kind of like that when not compressed in situ.
Its this type of bearing:

Hopefully the noise is gone, if not i cant think of many other places to look. Cant see any obvious cracks in the frame either.

Popped the new bottle cages on this afternoon, and voila no clicking noise.
