Hi all - I am new to the Europa brand and thought that this would be a prime page to get some info on the new machine that I acquired yesterday.
The history is that the bike was being thrown out and a friend thought I might be a suitable custodian of it. Apparently her neighbour found it in the bush a few years ago in the middle of nowhere...
Specs-
EUROPA Triathlon
Suntour Spirit Deurailer
105 Hubs
Velocity rims
Nitto bars
Falck tube
Concor saddle
Universal MOD 125 callipers and leavers
I would be greatfull for any info, if the components on her are as she was when made or history on the bike - I Did contact the store in Sydney and he confirmed that it was an italian made frame and that is all I know....

It's a nice one, that's for sure.
It seems to have the odd rear brake reach of a mid-to-high end 1970s Italian, so I'm going with that...
I'd say [guessing] that most of the parts have been upgraded at some point, but not the brakes. Happy to be corrected here. I'm not that familiar with Europas.

Thanks RK - I appreciate the feedback. A shame it is too small for me to ride- a 56 is a stretch for me

europa's usually have anything on them.
i've seen quite a few with ofmega cranks and derailleurs.
i don't think there was any structure, or strategy with components - just put on whatever was good buying (for the bike shop) at the time, i suspect.
my first europa had clb brakes, and belleri stem and bars, mavic wheels, stronglight cranks, shimano derailleurs.
another had all campagnolo xenon.
the tecnotrat oria frames are not very highly regarded, but they ride quite nicely.
