Hi all,
I need some advice on buying a second hand frame from the US.
I'm currently being quote $300 for shipping. Does anyone know a place to get a better rate?
That $300 shipping fee will take the total price over $1000 which will attract customs fees I think? Or not from the US because of free trade agreement? Does the customs limit include shipping costs and I assume it is in Australian dollars?
I assume that because this is a second hand frame I won't be liable for GST. is that correct?

That looks like it might work for a business, but isn't for individuals (unless I'm missing something)?jacks1071 wrote:Try http://www.shippingeasy.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

from the Gripsport web pageWe suggest you simply get a cardboard bike box (usually free from any bike shop because they are eager to get rid of them) and cut it down as per the photo to the right. If you don’t cut it down the Post Office will most likely “cube” it for freight purposes and charge you 2-3 times more than is necessary.
Remember… make it as small as possible
