You need to edit your signature here to include the link pointing to the Satmonkey grapic. Andrew

Strava effect? Andrew
Re: 2013 ACF BIKE JOURNAL fit gits on bikes fun comp
I reckon so mate Happy Days
Re: 2013 ACF BIKE JOURNAL fit gits on bikes fun comp
Yep ... probably not making enough to warrant trying to develop it further. Andrew
Re: 2013 ACF BIKE JOURNAL fit gits on bikes fun compI purchased premium from them last year to help them with funds. There are still things in BJ that are not done so well in Strava. So, I use both. I like how it is really easy to see Kms for components at a glance. I think they needed to have a direct upload from GPSes. Without making it easier, they will diminish to be just a niche site, which is a pity.
Re: 2013 ACF BIKE JOURNAL fit gits on bikes fun comp
I've got a question. Who is Philip and how do we get in touch with him to get him to roll the BJ counters over to 2013?
Re: 2013 ACF BIKE JOURNAL fit gits on bikes fun comp
G'day Mate, Not sure what's happening with BJ, best thing to do is assuming you have set up your BJ account, click this link below and follow the instructions (there's only a few to follow) and once you confirm then, your sig will be up to date. I just did and it was uploaded straight away. Any problems, let me know mate. LTR http://statmonkey.is-a-geek.net/cycling/register/index Happy Days
Re: 2013 ACF BIKE JOURNAL fit gits on bikes fun compHowdy,
Just joined and thought I'd try and join but the stat monkey thingy is giving me errors (trying to link to strava). Giving me a runtime exception. No idea what I'll hit this year as I am up and down with big km's (250-300 some weeks), 50 others. Reckon I'm good for 10k though.
Re: 2013 ACF BIKE JOURNAL fit gits on bikes fun comp
Sound like you have it pointing to Strava and not BikeJournal. There is a box in settings where you need to select one or the other. Andrew

Re: 2013 ACF BIKE JOURNAL fit gits on bikes fun compSemi active still, made my 12,000k's for the year last year and with 76,000k's up since 1997 hope to reach 100,000's in 2 years. Meaning of course my target for this year is another 12,000k's
Martin Never underestimate the power of human stupidity!
Re: 2013 ACF BIKE JOURNAL fit gits on bikes fun compI thought I was doing some decent k's each week...but looking at the top 3 on the BJ list I am impressed
I guess I am just hoping to stay in the top 10 this year
Re: 2013 ACF BIKE JOURNAL fit gits on bikes fun compLTR,
Any tips on getting the milage across from bike journal. I am not that far behind the target.
Re: 2013 ACF BIKE JOURNAL fit gits on bikes fun compcan u put me in for 20,000 please? i will jump on BJ now and try and work out how to set it up
Re: 2013 ACF BIKE JOURNAL fit gits on bikes fun comp
Nice target mate, BJ isn't working too well these days, any problems just let me know. Happy Days
Re: 2013 ACF BIKE JOURNAL fit gits on bikes fun comp
is there a better (non-strava) way? Or do I have to bite the bullet n join strava!
Re: 2013 ACF BIKE JOURNAL fit gits on bikes fun comp
Using BJ and Stats Monkey (link above) works fine. I use both Strava and BJ, for different reasons.
Re: 2013 ACF BIKE JOURNAL fit gits on bikes fun comp
thanks mate.... is their an easy way u can just upload your garmin to, or do u have to just manually enter your odometer figure for the year periodically into BJ? i would consider going to the strava dark side if its a matter of just uploading your garmin to it...
Re: 2013 ACF BIKE JOURNAL fit gits on bikes fun comp
Manually is the only option I am aware of with BJ. Strava and Garmin Connect both allow you to simply upload data direct from your Garmin. In Strava, you can keep all of your rides private, so only you can see them. Or you can keep your place of residence and work private so there is a 500m - 1km radius around it where others cannot see your travels. Distance varies and can only be adjusted by contacting Strava support. They are helpful with this as I had to do it. I use BJ as I have done for almost two years now. I use GC as it is great for setting myself goals and I can easily share rides with others on FaceBook, etc if I want to (for charity rides and the like). Strava, I use for keeping records of Personal Best times, etc. Strava now keeps record of bike components a lot better. In the past BJ was the best at this but Strava have now done it better. So I can easily see how many kms I have on my chain, tyres, cassette, etc. It's a good maintenance tool making BJ slowly become obsolete. Which is really unfortunate as I really like BJ. I could pay for Strava and be able to set goals but GC does it for free. I hope that info helps?
