Thoughts on diagnosing a click coming from the crank area?

Any thoughts on diagnosing this one: clicking coming from the crank area on my 08 Giant TCR C2. Generally when drive pedal is between 12 and 2, although sometimes happens at other points in the stroke. Doesn't happen at big power stuff. Mainly when I'm spinning along at 100rpm or so. Happens in all gears on both chain rings.
Oh and I've just changed the bottom bracket, and chain/rear mech and cluster is 750km old.

Thoughts?

Dirty/dry threads in the BB shell? Dry spindle before the left crank was installed? Left crank not fully torqued during install?
There's probably 997 other possible reasons...

Just coz it sounds like that's where it's coming from doesn't mean that's it. Could be seat post, stem. Process of elimination will get thee. Remove, replace, lubricate one thing at a time until it goes away.

Four more of the 997.... rh crank hitting derailleur cable or end cap on every rotation; pedal bearings loose; rh crank hitting derailleur cage; chain ring bolts loose. I've also read that sometimes on carbon frames a noise thought to be in BB area can be in the seat post zone because sound travels and gets amplified. So check seat clamp and seat post bolts. If threads are dry lightly grease.

My most annoying click turned out to be a seat post. Took aaaaages to identify. But given it started after the OP played with the BB... probably a good place to start.

Just spent a few days chasing one - it turned out to be the extra length of cable on the front derailleur tapping on the frame.

Just did a full grease and rebuild on the bike. Regreased and torqued the cranks, BB cups, pedal threads, seatpost, headset, and bidon cages, retightened the cluster and the QRs (which are new).

Found that the headset bearings were a bit loose, but the LBS says that they are all kind of like that when not compressed in situ.

Hopefully the noise is gone, if not i cant think of many other places to look. Cant see any obvious cracks in the frame either.

Check the rear derailleur hanger and main mounting bolt for tightness along with the chain ring bolts. I have had clicking from these areas on more than one bike.

Well I think I have found the clicking noise. 99.9999% sure it was the rear bottle cage, has a crack in the mount and I noticed it shifting back and forward while cycling today.

Popped the new bottle cages on this afternoon, and voila no clicking noise.
