Possibly, but when it is unnamed sources it is unconfirmed and speculation (not to mention PR to build up expectations and participation). I agree that it is likely and have put together a piece on BNA Will you be able to forgive Lance Armstrong?warthog1 wrote:Apparently he has coughed up
A flaw of this poll now is the extent to which there is an admission.
Is there a satisfactory admission, likely not. Nor can we expect an admission to the extent of all accusations such as conspiracy. The way the PR... whoops I mean genuine reporting is building up we are led to believe that there will be some kind of admission.

I used to worship the guy and his feats but now I wouldn't p*ss on him if he was burning.

It irks me that he earned so much money and adulation that he doesn't deserve. His bank account should read $0. He should have nothing, a liar and fraud that ruined the rep of so many others so he could prosper.

LOL! You make for a great conspiracy theorist (not).iMad wrote:I wonder if Armstrong actually had cancer at all...
I am getting more interested in the interview. Most curious how good LA's PR people are. What techniques and spins are they going to use to dodge those bullets. Frank admission or not is not my interest.

White collar crime. LA's earning and suffering caused is trivial compared to what happens on Wall St and the global financial market on a daily basis. Sub-prime is but one example and who took responsibility? That's America and the 21st Century. Yes, skinning target LA is the sport de jour at this point and both we and the media loves it.Red Rider wrote:It irks me that he earned so much money and adulation that he doesn't deserve. Armstrong, if nothing else is smart and cunning. I honestly believe he will not only put his hand up for drug cheating, but will apologise for letting everyone down and be totally contrite. Not because he wants to, but he's smart enough to realise that if his admission is half hearted and twinged with self pity, he will only dig himself into a deeper and darker hole than he's already in. Essentially there's only one way out for him from here and he knows it. He will apologise to everyone unreservedly and attempt to show massive remorse in the hope that people might find a tad of compassion for him.
Well, not this little black duck.... I say <language>. The whole exercise will have been carefully stage managed to extract the greatest amount of available sympathy. The truth is the only remorse the cheating <language> has is being caught. See if I'm not right when we see the interview.

iMad I agree with most of what you are saying. In the most part he is smart (in a selfish way) but not looking after Floyd and Tyler after they'd served their suspensions was a massive mistake. If he'd have gotten those guys a gig on a cycling roster, Astana ? (or called in a favour with another team) then I think they'd have kept quiet. Leaving them out to fry with no financial/career prospects left them with little alternatives.iMad wrote:OK Here's my take on his interview.
