Lazy 40km and 600m this morning. Not that lazy really, I was pushing hard!

Not going to do any more riding today except for my 6km commute home. Resting tomorrow and big numbers on Sunday hopefully.
Nice work Boss, I got a PB on Corkscrew yesterday, 10.18, bit of work to do to crack under 10 but I'm getting there, or a really good tailwind. :D

That's a great time for corkscrew, good work. I'm just under 12 at 11:56. Judging by my HR I have a little bit more to give on it though... If I can get under 11 this weekend I'd be ridiculously stoked... Keep you posted!

Hit 8:30 on waterfall gulley road in my lunch break yesterday. When I checked my lap timer at the top I couldn't believe it. I was working for it, but I felt like I could have gone harder. It felt easier than a ride earlier in the week where I hit 8:52. But yeah, stoked on that ride.

My PR on Old Freeway (tollgate to bollards) this morning was 28:20. Really stoked on that, I pushed hard but I'm definitely not firing on all cylinders. I hope to get into the 26's this year :D I've only been riding for a few months so I'm at the point where I'm having to be patient and really work for it.

110km and 2000m this morning. Not as many meters elevation as I wanted, but I rode some really good roads that I've never ventured to before.

The second half was ridiculously wet and the roads were super oily and slippery. Some very slow descending was in order.

What's this stuff you call wet. It seems like it hasn't rained in SEQld. in months.

It got verrrry wet verrrrry quickly here in Adelaide this morning.

Not a lot of fun as it hasn't rained for quite a while, either, and there was heaps of oil on the roads.

400+ in a little under 50km this morning. Was going to do some repeats for some extra metres just before home, but got too hot. Just as well as the Garmin didn't record the last 12km.
Closing in on the target at least.

I'll be hard pressed to get a better climbing ride in for the whole year I reckon... yesterday - 171kms, with 4200m of climbing.
Best training ride I'll get for the Alpine Classic in 2 weeks.
It was tough, but glad I got thru. Included Mt Donna Buang, and The Wall on Mt Dandenong for those vics who are on this thread.

31km and 499m elevation this morning. Put in a couple of half-hearted efforts but for the most part it was very cruisey.

Intentionally slept in and felt a bit drained from yesterday, so today was pretty much just about getting out there in the sunshine and spotting koalas.

Tell you what though, I will be glad when the TDU is over. So many drongos out in the hills with no etiquette.

42km and 847m this morning. Took a well known but very (very!) tough route this morning. This resulted in no TDU drongos. Great ride.

Ok I joined. Did 1085m in 41km this morning. Was nice and fun :) Been waiting for the weather to cool down before I did some more climbing as I seem to get heat stress/stroke really easily.

Make a jump on the street out front of your house and do repeats? :)

Repeats my friend!

I'm sure you could find a couple of average hills (5-10% grade) and repeat the crap outta them to get a bit of practice on the climbs.

But I've never been to Darwin, so I have no idea

Repeats in Darwin ... is there even a little Cat4 climb in the area :P .
I will be over 10,000 m behind soon...still snowing outside, but not the nice crisp ride able stuff ( well at least after a few cars have gone over it )... just the sloppy mushy stuff that freezes you derailleurs solid within ten minutes and adds a couple of kgs to your bike rather quickly.
Funnily enough I don't get any elevation gain on my rollers or mag trainer :| .

I used to live in Mildura. That place is level-land even compared to Darwin.

Few nice spots near the wharf in Darwin. I seem to remember a few hills there, been a long time though.

120km but only 1535m elevation. But average speed was 28.3km, so it was quite a pacey ride. Worked hard for it.
