I saw them for $750 for a short time at wiggle or c r c (yes the 9000s, not 7900s) but $849 is still an awesome deal, Australian stock being the big bonus.slowK wrote:Cycling express has the new Dura Ace 9000 c24 clinchers for $849. That's the best price I've seen anywhere.

I presume he is alluding to the fact of an easier/quicker returns process in event of a warranty claim or some other issue with the delivery?Dr_Mutley wrote:Whys Australian stock of wheels matter?
Besides, we have much better consumer protections here irrespective of manufacturer's warranty or store "policies" which you are not entitled to if you buy offshore.

An update, the Kali Chakra Plus MTB Helmet review has been published. This is 288g for the S-M and 292g for M-L and at $50 offers a lot of bang for your buck.AUbicycles wrote:I am currently reviewing a Kali Chakra now for BNA (MTB) - value for money is incredible and they are selling really well.

I'm not sure if warranty and consumer protections is worth $100 - that's a personal decision and obviously comes down to how much money you have to spend at the time. But fact of the matter is that at $850, those wheels are damn cheap and I haven't seen a better price in a little while now.
Putting that price into perspective, I paid $710 for my 7900 c24's from Merlin. No regrets though - I didn't want the 11spd hub spacing (and yes I know you can run 10spd on 9000 gear).

Read the review, agree entirely. I've put a fair few hundred kms into one as my new commute lid and can't fault it. Velogear are top people too, Anton is one helluva nice bloke. Mostly odd sizes. Need to add buyers premium to final price. Doubt there would be any warranty. You can get plenty of other non-Colanago brand bikes with 105 groupset cheaper if you look around.neil_kav wrote:Not sure how good this is, but available on Graysonline for Melbourne pickup and put them together yourself-Colnago Ace 105:

That's an amazing deal for a 1095g (!) wheelset (edit: Torpedo7 has them at 1095g, but this velonews review says 1400g: http://velonews.competitor.com/2012/10/ ... tch_250580" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) (edit 2: that review & weight is for the clincher version. Zipp themselves list them at 1115g)
c r c has the same wheels on sale at 36% off, and it will still cost you $1900. I wish I could justify getting these
