Theres a limit on the sig sizes... you would have to get rid of your bike list to get both the graphs ( i think ).
PS welcome aboard.

Don't put it in your signature. Quote my post above with all the graphs in it, but remove the [ quote ] and [ /quote ] tags and add your entry at the bottom.

Thanks Too Long, I tried that, downsized the info from statmonkey too and still went over the character limit. I'll try what In the woods suggests.

Voila... your in Ginjin.
Sorry, I was meaning if you want to have the graphs like mine in your signature you will probably have to get ride of your bikes ( maybe, not 100% sure, but they are trying to cut down the size of the signatures ).

PS... blast all you climbers over 10000m already

Nah it's all good mate, I would be doing it to if I could :-) .
6am here now and I can hear the crunching of recent snow as cars go by... Which means with mild maximum temp of zero or 1 it will turn to slush!.
Not many climbing points to be had on the mag trainer!.

49km and 900m this morning. Very peppery ride this morning, PR'ed a road that I ride a fair bit - Tollgate to Bollards for anyone in Adelaide playing along.

Ramped (pun intended) my target up to 150000m. No idea why.

Does anyone know how Strava calculates the elevation off the iPhone app? Lets just say it's being wildly optimistic about the rides I am doing here in Bright. It's usually about 10-15% out but this is a bit ridiculous.

it's one of the reasons I believe that only cyclists using proper GPS cycle computers should be allowed to get KOMs. they are dodgy (inaccurate) as hell.

KOM's are just a hit and giggle thing I reckon...nice to have, makes life interesting but in the scheme of things not the most important thing going around. Doesn't mean I wont have a go at one, as you know :), but I can live with myself and move on if I dont get one...which may be a result of an inaccurate electronic device

Strava is a personal thing I believe, a way to push yourself more so, and KOMS are just a means to push that along

agree but the dodgy numbers/times/speeds you see out of a mobile vs a gps cycle computer continuously is annoying

To me, Strava is about PR's and pushing myself.

KOM's (and placings) are nice, and give me an indication of where I'm at compared with the general population, but yes... really they don't bug me out that much. Much more interested in improving my own times.

Speaking of which - took 20 seconds off a climb/sprint time in my lunchbreak (now 8:10 and 7th / 300+ :D ). 20km and 200m elevation. Took the short route way back as it was 37 degrees.

It would bug me if I was using an iPhone and it was giving me inaccurate times. There are certain bits of road where I can see my Garmin drops in accuracy from 8m to 15m and that bugs me out!

The times and distance generally agree with my non GPS Mavic Alitmeter but the climbing is miles off. Making me look good though. :D

+1. One good thing about them is that it makes you think about how you can improve as in: go hard early and hang on or vice versa; different gearing; cornering, etc.

My iPhone gives me less altitude than guys / girls I ride with Garmins quite often ... so I think nothing is all that accurate.
But for KOM's I can't see why a phone would be any different than a GPS?... it is a stop watch thing over a segment, altitude doesn't come into it. Saying that have a look at the " Alternative Segment Leaderboard " on veloviewer over your fav segment ... very interesting.
Strava samples on fairly big blocks... which is why it is rubbish for tight single track etc on mtbs / cx ... it's only a bit of fun, but is reasonably accurate the longer the segments get.

Crop off the last few minutes ( or even seconds ) and it is a normal ride.
