Hi guys,
First road bike purchase and i have narrowed it down to two bikes but would like some advice. I'm 186cm and 88kgs. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
2013 Scott CR 1 Team CD 20 or 2013 Focus Cayo Evo 6.0

Can you ride them both? I think for your first one in particular it might be helpful to 'feel' it. I was very surprised when I tested 10 or 15 bikes before I finally went through with buying one.

yes i will ride both, I'm waiting for LBS to get the Focus in. Testing the Scott tomorrow. Anything in particular to look/feel for when test riding them?

If these are the 2 bikes in question I personally would prefer the bike with the complete 105 groupset plus it looks nicer imo - Scott CR1

yep they are the two in question. Scott does look better. What is the advantage of the complete 105 groupset?

The Focus has a FSA crank and Concept brake calipers which no doubt work perfectly well but if it were my bike I would be happier with the Shimano parts, no real reason apart from "completeness".

I ride a 2011 Scott CR1 Comp (with 105) and love it. My first road bike.
A mate just bought that exact Focus as well. Looks great in the flesh and rides nicely by all accounts but I was surprised to see the FSA and Concept components.
Ride them both and choose. Enjoy

Hi guys,
So I ended up buying a 2013 Cervelo R3 105. The ride is amazing compared to the Scott and the Focus so the extra $'s were well spent. Very important to test ride every bike!
Thanks guys
