The seller hasn't worked out that 'fixie' is so yesterday, if he had said 'CX' it'd be worth triple the money.

The Sydney manufacture story has been dismissed, number is non complient, but if it were smaller I would be bidding

Not offering to post it to Australia at this time - I'd not thought it would be very heavy - it could perhaps be sent as a soft copy.Clydesdale Scot wrote:someones having a cleanup
will go cheap (fixie not appropriate on this one)

Not much rust this time, but I have some doubts regarding its legality.

It's only been tested for 10 minutes. That'd be about how long it takes to irritate someone enough to sic the cops onto the owner.grantw wrote:I see a nasty accident in that bikes future.Hamster wrote:http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Motorized-ch ... 4d08ebe1a8

You're not sure whether petrol powered bikes are beyond the law- don't you read the articles on BNA ?Hamster wrote:http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Motorized-ch ... 4d08ebe1a8

Isn't that one of those "Bratz" thingies that were sooo popular with pre teen girls for about 17 seconds back in the day?grantw wrote:I see a nasty accident in that bikes future.Hamster wrote:http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Motorized-ch ... 4d08ebe1a8

I'm impressed - they actually managed to stay on top of that thing for 17 seconds. I'm guessing that at around the 18 second mark there was much crying and a need for copious amounts of mercurochrome.Mulger bill wrote:Isn't that one of those "Bratz" thingies that were sooo popular with pre teen girls for about 17 seconds back in the day?grantw wrote:I see a nasty accident in that bikes future.Hamster wrote:http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Motorized-ch ... 4d08ebe1a8

It was originally listed with a starting bid of $0.99 but then it seems it was pulled as a result of this "question" :Hamster wrote:http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Malvern-Star ... 257a1a83d9
The value of rust remains bouyant.
Although with a bit of work it'd be a nice bike, the initial cost seems a tad steep.
Q: hi not sure if you know but your bike is a malvern star 2 star roadster from either the 50s or 60s 3 spd sturmey archer rear hub will have a date in it and is worth heaps, people sell the frames for $700 only i hope you dont sell it for 99c ?
A: Wow. I had no idea. Thankyou kindly for letting me know!! I will check the date on the frame and add it to the listing tonight.

Regular story: ask the questions, ask the value, then sell, sell, sell.Hamster wrote:http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Malvern-Star ... 257a1a83d9
