About 10 days ago a contractor has mowed the verges of the bike path along Tonkin Hwy between Corfield Street and Thomas Road. Nothing wrong with that however no sweeping was done afterwards and the path was littered with limestone pebbles sand, grass and chopped up branches which made it not so pleasant to ride.
So I thought I ring up City of Gosnells where I was told they have a maintenance agreement with Mainroads - they even put me staright thru to the relevant person at Mainroads...
So I spoke to a very helpful and understanding person from Mainroads and they rang me back after 10 minutes to confirm that the contractor has not done the sweeping.
Well yesterday I went for a ride and you would not believe it the whole path was clean

So thanks Mainroads and City of Gosnells - great customer service...
