Stupid question, but Giant TCR Advanced 0 vs Pinarello dogmaI recently got a TCR and it feels really good and ive seen the stiffness/weight results and it seems that Giant tcr kicks the Pina's ass in stiffness and weight. Who's ridden both and can tell me their opinion haha?
Re: Stupid question, but Giant TCR Advanced 0 vs Pinarello dI've never ridden a TCR but I've ridden my mates doggie and its a stiff as a honeymooner's ding dong!

Love your new avatar MarkG I love riding, not training
Re: Stupid question, but Giant TCR Advanced 0 vs Pinarello dI've ridden a prince not a dogma and chose the Giant hands down. Remember the tcr0 is their second tier frame not the sl.I'm am biased though I just update my 2011 tcr advanced 1 to a 2013 tcr 0.Not because I needed too but the deal was just to good to refuse

Re: Stupid question, but Giant TCR Advanced 0 vs Pinarello dTop end frame mechanics are already way above what amateur legs can put down these days. It's getting meaningless apart for the mind.
Bianchi, Ridley, Montague, GT, Garmin and All things Apple
Re: Stupid question, but Giant TCR Advanced 0 vs Pinarello dive riden both of these frames and the dogma felt much stiffer to me
Re: Stupid question, but Giant TCR Advanced 0 vs Pinarello dI have not ridden a dogma but I compared the giant TCR 0 to a Cannondale and could not tell the difference. Maybe I am getting tight in my old age, but I think a lot of it is a name not necessarly quality. At the end of the day I got the Giant and I am very happy with it
Re: Stupid question, but Giant TCR Advanced 0 vs Pinarello dI have got both of them. I must say that the doggie feels a bit stiffer over the TCR and a lot more sturdy during descend.
The TCR feels muted over the bumps and slightly heavier on the climb. Not sure if it is due to the wheelset and tyre combo or not. 2009 - Current - BMC SL 01 [2009]
2008 - 2009 - Cervelo R3 [2008] 2007 - 2008 - Trek 1.4 [2005]
Re: Stupid question, but Giant TCR Advanced 0 vs Pinarello dI test bikes on my youtube channel. I make sure to use the same wheelset so Im objective. I also use a power meter to be even more objective and compare against my times on local strava climbs.
I rode a doggie. Flexy. I prefer my Azzurri Forza and 2013 TCR Advanced SL isp. Pinarello is cheap quality hence the poor warranty. Go with a Giant or Azzurri. Lifetime warranty on either. I can ride whatever bike I want. Its all tax deductible for my youtube channel. I like the paint scheme of the Pinarello's and Colnago's etc but for quality, they sure do lack it. Vegan since 2001...

Re: Stupid question, but Giant TCR Advanced 0 vs Pinarello dThat explains a lot...
...whatever the road rules, self-preservation is the absolute priority for a cyclist when mixing it with motorised traffic.

Re: Stupid question, but Giant TCR Advanced 0 vs Pinarello dBeen riding a 2013 Giant TCR SL Advanced ISP for the past few days... Not as aero efficient as my S Works Venge, but a nice and stiff ride none the less...

Re: Stupid question, but Giant TCR Advanced 0 vs Pinarello dI find it difficult to swallow someone saying one bike is stiffer or looser than another.
How about qualifying your statement - where do you feel the stiffness? in the saddle, the bars, lateral flexion out of the saddle (and at the bb, wheels?)? IME, variation in wheelsets varies ride comfort tremendously, so it's senseless to compare frames with different wheelsets. If 'general' stiffness was the penultimate trait of a better bike, then why does Fabian Cancellara ride a Domane with a flexible seat post? Fav Ride : Pottsville, Byron, Bangalow, Eureka, Dunoon, Nimbin, Uki, Mooball, Pottsville 200km 3000m
